What We Do

We are your companions in the listening…

While “people are people” wherever they may be, we place a particular emphasis on what it means to be the people of God engaged in listening for the promptings of God’s Spirit in our midst. The theological term for this holy listening is “discernment.” More than generating new ideas, it is also prayerful attentiveness and worshipful work.

Together, we will attempt to discern where you have been and where you are now.

From that clear and shared understanding we can ask questions such as:

  • What is good, fulfilling and energizing?
  • What are our gifts?
  • What aspects of our lives need nurturing and attention?
  • What are opportunities in and outside of our church that fit our interests, abilities, and capacity?

Most congregations believe that there can be growth without change and change without conflict. Unfortunately, that is not possible, but we can help you navigate those waters.

We work in four general areas:

  1. planning and change,
  2. conflict management,
  3. leadership development,
  4. search processes.

Your situation may involve all four of these areas or just one or two.
