Why Church Matters

For us, “church” is more than a building which houses weekly liturgies.

For us, “church” is the community of persons who gather within that building.

For us, our spiritual health as individuals is dependent upon the health of the community of faith to which we belong.

We believe being a Christian is a communal activity – one Christian is no Christian.

We need a community in which to grow the disciplines of discipleship in our faith and lives.

We need a community which supports us in life’s challenges and leads us toward becoming more faithful witnesses, in word and deed, to the Good News of Jesus Christ.
